Accept every subject as it comes:
To score good a student needs to clear and learn all subjects. No
subject can become a favourite or non-favourite subject and easy or
difficult subject thus, paying more attention on the former type and
leaving the latter for reasons of lack of interest.
Knowledge of the syllabus:
You must be well aware of the complete syllabus of CBSE Class 12 before
you commence your Class 12 board exam preparation. Know the CBSE class
12 syllabus and weight-age of all subjects. Then start from the topics
that carry the most marks and get a strong grip on these topics. If you
find any topic difficult focus on them do not leave the concept
unattended or procrastinate it or keep it for last moment.
Know which subject or topic is your strength and clear the concept.
Know which subject you are weak in and try doing it often, do not leave
it unattended. Know the topics whose weight-age is more and make it an
opportunity to score. Know the topic which are difficult and make sure
you work on it and practice it more often.
Make sure you have every essential study material before you begin
your Class 12 board exam preparation. But take care you don’t end up
with too many books to confuse you! Start with the NCERT books, as they
are the basic preparation material for
CBSE Class 12. You may use other reference books for objectives and other concepts which you find difficulty to understand.
You may read, learn and understand the concepts very well, but no
matter how much you study your mind retains only some percent of it.
However, a student shall always remember more percent of what it writes
than it reads. Thus, it is important to note that Class 12 board exam
preparation is never complete without solving sample papers or taking
mock tests. As rightly said practice makes a man perfect.
Never try and sit with one subject for the entire day. Mix-match that
is, pick two subjects for a day and work on every subject with divided
time. This reduces the boredom as well as enables you to finish the
portion simultaneously with all subjects, in a planned way.
- Last year’s question paper:
This step comes when you have completed your portion, done away with
all your subjects and covered all important topics. This is when you
must try solving
previous year papers.
It is another way of gaining that extra edge in your Class 12 board
exam preparation apart from mock trials. You can easily find the CBSE
class 12 past year question papers both online and offline. It is
advised to prepare/solve as many past year papers you can. Past papers
give you a thorough understanding of the subject and the types of
questions expected. This is one of the most important CBSE class 12 exam
preparation tips you’ll get!
Follow these CBSE class 12 exam preparation tips while preparing for your exams:
